Our church leadership has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 virus and the impact it is having on our nation and on our state. With the announcement of the NC Governor on Thursday discouraging gatherings of groups of 100 or more as this virus spreads across our state, the leadership of our church met this evening to discuss how our congregation at First Baptist Church of Elon should approach the coming weeks. Sunday School and Worship Services will be canceled.
Age Group Bible Studies during this time period will be canceled.
Community Activities scheduled to use the Church Building from will be canceled/rescheduled/postponed.
Individual Team Meetings should check with church staff about room location and availability.
During these coming weeks, we will be providing homilies or sermons to reflect on during the Sundays that we will not be gathered together as a family. My hope is to have a homily available on the church website, Facebook page, and have copies on CD by either this Sunday or at the latest Monday. While we may not be in one location, we will be united by the Spirit of God.

Church Office Hours: The church office will be closed on Fridays. There will be a pastor on call each weekend that will be available if needed. The pastor on call will be listed on the Ministry Events sheet each Sunday for the following weekend
