Dr. Mason Smith
Mason Fuller Smith along with his wife, Kimberly, and two sons, Wilson and Wesley, came to us in June of 2014, after serving an international congregation in Wiesbaden, Germany. Born and raised in rural eastern North Carolina, Mason grew up with a love of the Creation. It was through this love that he first began to see glimpses of the Creator. At the age of 15, Mason saw the larger picture of life for the first time, and began following Jesus.
God's claim on his life has lead him through college and seminary, marriage, ordination, years of soul searching, fatherhood, doctoral studies, and numerous ministry opportunities. In 1999 Mason received a B.A. in Religion and Christian Ministries from Campbell University. He completed his M.Div. from Duke Divinity School in 2003. In 2011 he earned a D.Min. from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. Since his calling Mason has served as a summer missionary, youth & college minister, chaplain, and pastor.
Mason enjoys camping, hiking, and all things outdoors. He is also a foodie who loves to cook and experiment in the kitchen. Other interests include running, storytelling, and reading. Mason also says that he is known to, “express a silliness that is contagious and effective in producing in all things joyous,” whatever that means.
