  • Interim Music Minister Position:
    • First Baptist Church of Elon, NC is searching for a part-time (15 – 20 hours a week) interim Music Minister. The candidate for this position should possess a passion for Christian worship and service as well as the skills necessary to lead a diverse music ministry. Some of the responsibilities of this position include leading worship on Sunday mornings and preparing the Adult Choir to lead in worship each week. All candidates who are interested in being considered for this position should submit a resume and cover letter by email to musicsearch@fbc-elon.org, Attn: Susan Reinheimer, Chair of the Search Committee. All resumes should be submitted no later than February 15, 2016.

    • 9:00 am Extended Sunday School Lesson – “How to be a Better Sunday School Learner & Teacher.” Nikki helps to develop content for Faithelement, one of the resources utilized by FBC Elon’s SS classes and is going to share how you can become a more engaged Learner and teacher.
    • 11:00 am Worship Service – Guest Speaker.
  • Church Wide Missions Project: Feed the Hunger
    • When: Saturday, February 20
    • Time: 9:00 – 11:00 AM
    • Where: FBC Elon Fellowship Hall
    • Come out and help pack meals for those in need in our area and around the world. This project is for everyone at any age.
    • Coin collection banks are due back January 31.

  • New Church Office Hours: The church office will be closed on Fridays. There will be a pastor on call each weekend that will be available if needed. The pastor on call will be listed on the Ministry Events sheet each Sunday for the following weekend.
  • Foushees in Japan! Carson and Laura are in Japan until 2016. Support them with your prayers as they begin this ministry. Donation envelopes are available in the Communications Center if you feel led to support them with a donation. Thank you to all of our members and families who pledged donations for them. Their pledges began in August and will continue throughout Carson and Laura’s ministry in Japan. Follow and keep up with Carson and Laura Foushee while serving on a 3 year mission trip to Japan.
